Farnsworth House – Mies van der Rohe

Digital artist Alessamdro Prodan amazed us all with the following cgi masterpiece.
And before you even think: yes, all vegetation: branches, trees, leaves and grass are also geometry.
Mr. Prodan mentioned that his research was intensive, starting from a vast photo reference archive to the botanical, light and composition studies, he decided to push his own limits.
Using Maya&MentalRay, this scene holds around 990.000.000 tris! Amazingly, due to the tremendous optimizations Alessandro went through, all was done using a normal QuadCore with 4gigs of Ram and each image took only 2/3hours to render!
