pecha kucha night lisbon pra rir

no próximo dia 18 de dezembro pelas 22:00 no Lux em Lisboa realiza-se a terceira edição portuguesa da Pecha Kucha Night
até agora ainda não encontrei na lista de oradores nenhum que valesse os 5 euros que custa o ingresso, pelo menos não entre os jovens profissionais com menos de 40 anos, a única excepção até ao momento parece ser a nancy diniz.
no entanto, por desconhecer alguns dos inscritos ainda não perdi a esperança de nomear num post futuro mais alguém que descubra possuir um percurso relevante e pertinente.
a qualidade dos intervenientes diminuiu consideravelmente quando comparada com as duas primeiras iniciativas, encontrei para tal três explicações possíveis e conciliáveis:

1) não houve divulgação ou publicitação suficiente junto por exemplo das faculdades e dos graduados em anos anteriores das mesmas

2) grande parte de quem teria realmente alguma coisa para dizer consciente das limitações e da pouca projecção mediática das noites anteriores simplesmente não quer saber disto para nada e está a realizar mais um estágio não remunerado ou quase de preferência algures fora de Portugal

3) o formato de 4 noites por ano é desaquado à dimensão do nosso panorama criativo o que leva a um rápido e progressivo decréscimo da qualidade a cada edição

PS: plataforma creativa para a divulgação do trabalho de jovens profissionais? Só podem estar a gozar!!! o João Paulo Feliciano, por exemplo, nasceu em 1963 e expõe desde o inicío dos anos 80!

concept project by Amron Exptl. with an estimated retail price of only 3 dollars “making something of out of almost nothing” and what a big something it is.
Eliminating existing objects by upgrading and reasoning function parameters on others.
Not many designers can do this or even make the effort, that’s where we draw the line between a well designed object and just another piece of waste or another crappy aesthetically pleasant jerk off that should never come out of the drawing table.
If you don’t integrate the kind of thinking that went into this object in your design process you shouldn’t be in the business…

A collection of works reflecting the ideas of this movement have been compiled into a book written by alessandro rocca (architect and architecture critic and a professor at the milan polytechnic). the book, due out in early november 2007,features sixty-six projects from 18 artists and architects by way of 250 photos and illustrations. each project reconsiders designing with nature in mind. projects by olafur eliasson, patrick dougherty, nils-udo, ex. studio, edward ng, n architects, and many others” ++++++
